Amino K™
Organic amino acids that feed soil biology and keep nutrients plant-available.
Amino K is a liquid soil ameliorant and amino-acid supplement for plants, a natural by-product of the sugar industry, made from the yeast fermentation of molasses. It supplies macro and micro elements, including natural chelating agents that keep nutrients in a form plants can actually use.
Microbial food source
Feeds soil biology from planting onward.
Natural chelation
Keeps nutrients plant-available for longer.
Low energy uptake
Amino-acid form is easy for the plant to absorb.
Tank-mix friendly
Fits foliar, soil and seed-treatment programmes.
Why Amino K
Amino K supplies plants with an amino-acid supplement alongside macro and micro elements, notably silicon, plus natural chelating agents that keep nutrients in an available form. Because it is a by-product of sugar-industry yeast fermentation, it carries the microbial-feeding benefit of molasses without the drawbacks of applying raw molasses to soil.
It is popularly applied through a pivot alongside inorganic fertilisers, predominantly ahead of planting and then through the crop cycle, to build soil microflora and support nutrient uptake all season.
Application guide
Zylem has not published a single blanket rate for Amino K: it is applied as a foliar, soil or seed treatment across all crops and regions of South Africa, with rates matched to the crop and season. Talk to a Zylem agronomist for a rate suited to your programme.
